Before Jesus Changed My Life

I grew up in a Christian household, but before Jesus changed my life, I was depressed and sad. I would search for things like music, boys, and friends to fill me with and find approval in.

How Jesus Changed My Life

Salt Company has been a great thing because it made me closer to Jesus. I would say that Kaylee, Elyssa, Natalie, and Macie helped me get closer to Jesus because I started to notice how different they were. They showed Jesus through their actions and I am sooooo grateful that they did that. Prior to fall retreat, I remember I used to not want to go to church and would go to Salt Company just for my friends. I didn’t really have any rhythms.

Then at fall retreat this year is when I finally recognized the weight of my sin. We had just heard a message on weakness and heard a lot about how God meets us in our weakness and how we don’t need to be strong for God because He will strengthen us. I felt guilty after the message, so when we got a chance to pray, I prayed that the Lord would forgive me from my sins and that He would come into my heart. Since then, things have been totally different by reading consistently and going to church and Salt to learn more. 

My Life After Jesus Saved Me

I feel like I am less sad and more happy. Also I don’t have this heavy weight on me anymore. I feel more free because I understand who Jesus is and what he did, knowing I no longer have to carry the weight of my sin and understanding the freedom in Christ Jesus. I also have started to read my Bible consistently. I have also noticed I trust the Lord with everything in my life more than I did before.
